Welcome to Charis Pilates + Wellness ("Charis," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at charispilates.com, booking classes, purchasing memberships, or using any of our studio services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have the consent of a parent or guardian), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services

Charis Pilates + Wellness offers Reformer Pilates classes, wellness services (including Infrared Sauna, Cryotherapy, and Power Plate), teacher training programs, and related fitness and wellness services at our studio locations in Poway, Escondido, and Scripps Poway, California.

3. Bookings, Memberships, and Payments

• Reservations: Class reservations are made through our online booking platform. Spots are limited and not guaranteed until confirmed.
• Payment: All fees are due at the time of purchase. We accept major credit and debit cards. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.
• Memberships: Membership terms, billing cycles, and cancellation procedures are outlined at the time of purchase. Monthly memberships require written notice of cancellation per the terms stated in your membership agreement.
• Intro Offers: Introductory pricing is available to first-time clients only and is non-transferable. One offer per household.
• Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable and have no cash value. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.

4. Cancellation and Late Cancel Policy

• Classes must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time to avoid a late cancellation fee (6 hours for unlimited members).
• A $10 late cancellation fee applies to class packs and drop-in clients. Unlimited members will lose a credit.
• A $30 no-show fee applies to unlimited members. Class pack and drop-in clients will lose their credit.
• Charis Pilates reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or other circumstances. Clients will be notified and credits will be returned.

5. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk

Participation in Pilates and wellness services involves physical activity and inherent risks of injury. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all such risks. You represent that you are in good physical health and have no medical condition that would prevent safe participation. You agree to inform your instructor of any injuries, health conditions, or limitations prior to class.

Charis Pilates + Wellness is not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from your participation in our services. You are encouraged to consult your physician before beginning any new exercise program.

6. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Charis Pilates + Wellness, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of our services, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with our services is to discontinue use.

7. Code of Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment. All clients are expected to:

• Treat instructors, staff, and fellow clients with courtesy and respect.
• Arrive on time and follow studio etiquette guidelines.
• Wear grip socks during all Reformer classes.
• Refrain from disruptive, harassing, or inappropriate behavior.

Charis Pilates reserves the right to refuse service or revoke membership to any individual who violates our code of conduct, without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, videos, and class programming, is the property of Charis Pilates + Wellness or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Website Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You may not use our site to transmit harmful, offensive, or unauthorized content, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may link to third-party websites or services (including our booking platform and social media). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Links do not constitute endorsement.

11. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in San Diego County, California.
